Begin with the instructions; the password to open the documents is 4255. Just follow the numbered Blue Buttons. Read Overview of ADR, then watch the slide overview, then read the Basic Mediation Training Manual. The videos on the bottom of the page are your OPENING STATEMENT, BREAKING IMPASSES, NEGOTIATION, AND REALITY TESTING; please watch each of them. The other material on the website is for reference only, such as Marketing Your Mediation Practice, Practical Tips. If you go to the iPod Section in the training, you can download the information to your computer or iPod or iPad. To save the material, you would right-click on the file and do a "SAVE AS" to your computer. You can download the audio to your computer and burn it to CDs to be played in your car or any CD player. Please make sure that you want to proceed because once you receive the sign-in and password, there is no refund, as you will have access to all the training material.
Upon completion of the training, please email adrsi@hotmail.com that you are ready for the examination. The examination will be emailed to you; you will have 24 hours to complete the exam, and it is open book. The examination is a compilation of 16 multiple-choice questions and 4 essay questions. You are also required to write your opening statement at the end of the examination. The opening statement must be in your own words; any copy from the internet will result in you failing the examination. The opening must be in your own words. The object is to help you create the best opening statement that you are comfortable using in all your mediations, which covers all the important material.
If you are an attorney in Texas, we will record your MCLE hours with the State Bar associated with our approval for other states; we will help you register your hours. Our course is also approved in Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Arkansas for MCLE Credits.
We will need from you exactly how you would like your name to appear on the certificate, your mailing address, and Bar Card Number if you are an attorney.
You will receive 4 copies of your certificate, 2 digital (1 JPG, 1 PDF) and two original; the digital copies are for your convenience for sending to requesting agencies or courts. Your original will be mailed to you along with the informational flash drive filled with forms, tips, a marketing manual, and more.
